| Building up my gaming rig and need your suggestions on stuff
I would like to start off by saying thank you for taking your time and looking. Questions are down below after getting an idea of my setup.
I have a few questions here. I will go ahead and provide all my specs. Questions down below.

Questions: Ok are those plug ports on a power supply good for this setup. I heard they have problems and the wires are short? Will a 1000 watt power supply supply be enough to run my system with an addition 5 80mm fans and 4x drives (CD-ROM, DVD, CD-RW ect ect)
Ok about the ram, I heard that the ram has a specific amount of volts and that the mother board will have to be set to this specific volt for them to run correct?
About the sound card, Is the one that comes with the motherboard good enough or should i spend the extra 130 and get the creative sound card?

or a Q6600 if you can find one for $200 or less.
i jave no comment on the rest besides the GFX card. 9600GT is a fabulous card for the price. im not sure i'd go SLI, though, unless you were running 24" LCd is larger. these puppies play almost every new game on max quality with more than playable FPS @ 1680x1050.
if you want more performance, drop $220 total and get an 8800GTS 512MB instead.
if you're sticking to 9600GT, they can be found cheaper than $170. quality brands can be had for 140 w/o rebate.

 About the ram,your mobo may set up the ram correctly,go into the bios when you boot up for the first time and check out the ram settings if not 7-7-7-20 then set it that way,that's what I had to do with my corsair 1333mhz ram 
As for the power supply,the cable lengths are given online on the product spec page,was for my 1000 watt Ultra, with all the cables I was using being long enough
And for the sound card...what's the rush?Try the free one first,if your not satisfied you may also consider the pciexpress xfi sound card  |

Maybe I'm just cynical, but a $450 motherboard and all?
Personally I'm a fan of "best bang for the buck" and the "upgrade often" mentality. Its also easy as pie to get the E8400 to 4Ghz if you choose the right combo.
What I'd do:
E8400 - $185 (oc to 4ghz)
Gigabyte P35-DS3 - $90
2GB DDR2 - $50
8800GT 512mb - $150(after rebate)
Good CPU cooler - $50 (ie TT Big Typhoon)
Now look, I just built most of a whole system for a little more than price of your mobo alone. And guess what? It'll perform like heck - esp with 4Ghz of power |

Why get a mid-range video card then a top-shelf motherboard? Better overclocking? A quality budget motherboard (like Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L) at stock and a top-shelf video card will give you better results than that setup overclocked and probably cost less, too. |

It'll perform like heck - esp with 4Ghz of power Only thing I'd change would be to get a 780i mobo either xfx or EVGA as they follow nvidia's reference design, and get a thermalright ultra 120 extreme heatsink with two 120mm fans in a push pull setup.
I hit 4.5ghz on that setup, and that would make a killer gaming rig, that will last for a while, as no game really needs a CPU beyond 3.8ghz at the moment.
