| Since Gary hasn't started the topic yet...
...just a small note to let you all know that we have another mini heatwave coming for this weekend. Highs in the 80s and 90s will be common on both Saturday and Sunday.
(good birthday weather for me ) |

| You guys are missing out on the cold (hard freeze warning again tonight), rain (it poured yesterday, last night and this morning) and snow (as low as sea level at times) we've had up here in NW CA We'll have a break, then rain and snow all next week, is SoCal going to see any of that? |

| Not from what I understand. It's supposed to be in the 60s and 70s today, then a 10 degree warmup tomorrow; but by this weekend we will be roasting much like we did two weekends ago with highs in the 80s and 90s across much of the area, isolated locations such as Palm Springs, Blythe, and Riverside may near 100.
I heard that Eureka had snow the other day. On April 20th!!! How rare is that? |

| Yep, that was EXTREMELY rare for them, most winters they never see any! We had several inches of snow here in Redwood Valley (Mendocino County) in March, which was more than we'd seen in years, it even snowed in Fort Bragg at sea level! We've had additional snow here and there this winter as well, along with over 36 inches of rain. Right now, it's 28, another chilly night, it'll be in the 60's today, then the 70's Friday, Saturday and Sunday, before cooling off again on Monday, with rain forecast all week long starting Monday Night. After these storms, we'll be above normal on rainfall (we normally see around 40 inches in Redwood Valley per season), our local mountains are already at 120% of normal snowfall.
Edit- »www.gomendo.com A good site about this area. I am 115 miles northwest of San Francisco, or 150 miles south of Eureka. How is the snow pack looking in the San Gabriel's and San Bernardino's? How about the rain totals for SoCal? I can't remember if I told you, but I was born (Riverside) and raised in SoCal, I grew up in West Covina (1976-1990) and graduated from Covina High School in Covina in 1990, I have a lot of friends and some family scattered around there too, and my family helped settle SoCal, as well as SE Idaho and Utah (we're all Mormon)..if I told you all this before, sorry, old age getting to me LOL
