You only need resistance for certain boss fights.

NR or FrR for tanks on Hydross
FR for warlock tank on Kael'thas
SR for everyone on Mother
SR for warlock tank on Illidan.

Some people use AR for curator and Kalecgos, but it isn't needed.

Often fights like these are artificial barriers introduced by blizz to stall raid progression. While they boss fight may be easy, they are near impossible without the proper resist gear, and resist gear takes time to acquire. (example: hearts of darkness).

It's not Kael Thas, it Leotheras the Blind in SSC that requires the lock with FR gear.

ummm, dont forget you have to have a Fire resistance warlock tank for Astromancer Capernian in the Kael encounter. So fire for both.

Then what was I doing in all the FR gear on the kael fight? Spamming searing pain for no reason i suppose.
