This brought me to tears watching, what happend to the good days we used to know??
It's an all digital animation of walking through a typical mall video game arcade in 1984 with Journeys "Stoned in Love" playing in the background.
Check it out! (3-1/2 minutes long .. very well done )
Almost nothing but crap is made today making the 80s look like gold!! (Which they were in many ways) |

| Even though I was too young to really enjoy many of the arcades of the 80's, I wish they would come back. I've been to a couple that were like that and really enjoyed them.
Now when I go into an arcade all I ever see is generally crap games that go for $1 per play. They recently redid the arcade at our mall and added a few good games like Soulcalibur, Marvel vs Capcom, and Gauntlet.
Other than that, it is DDR, Deal or No Deal, Time Crisis (which they cut your health down to 3 bars ), or some random crap game. Really nothing that worth while. Not to mention 90% of the games cost $1 to play and $1 to continue, making it really not worth it. Heck, this 'african safari', or whatever it is called, costs $4 to play and it lasts about 5 mins. -- HABYA HABYA HABYA TEAR DOWN THE HEMP STALKS EAT UP THE OLD MAN AND WOMAN AND CARRY OFF THE LITTLE GIRL MAY YOU DIE ALONE |

I played almost every game they showed in that animation. If I saved all those quarters I spent on video games back then, I could probably put a down payment on a house |

Has anyone here watched the old game show Starcade? |

1 edit | reply to Dude111 Makes you wonder where the time went. Looking at arcade machines today just feels, sad and dated, but back then it was a goldmine.
Who here remember playing a arcade, doing well might I add, then having a younger kid pop in his/her credits messing up the entire game without asking if they could join?
Not like it was owned to the person who popped in quarters first in player 1, but kinda rude just to interrupt. |
