They changed the name of World Cinema HD. I never watched it so I'm not sure how much the movies have changed.

World Cinema HD had mostly foreign cinema with subtile movies, these are regular movies, but i did notice that they repeat the same movies on there about 10 or more times, maybe they just getting started

VOOM is wonderful place for repeats. Some of those channels only seem to get fresh content every few weeks if not once a month.

There are countless HD channels available out there now and Cablevision has to add this crap. They are pathetic....

They didn't add the channel, it was an existing VOOM HD Channel renamed with different content put on it.

Well, it is safe to bet that we will be getting the Hallmark Movie Channel in HD/SD sometime this summer. What else Cablevision has up their sleeves, we will find out but I would guess they plan to add a lot since they are dropping a bunch of analog in the next Month or so.

I rather watch some really good foreign movie with subtitles than the same Hollywood crap over and over again.

I looked at the guide for VOOM HD Movies and it was the same three movies repeated over and over again all day yesterday and into this early AM.

So would I but Cablevision is now feeding us Voom HD which features repetitous old Hollywood movies. I enjoyed the foreign films, it was a nice piece of variety in their offerings. Why couldn't they give us both?

Well VOOM's carriage agreement is up on June 30th with Cablevision. I would assume Cablevision will renew, but with Echostar winning the 1st round in court to drop the VOOM channels, who knows?

the new Voom channel is simply overflow for Monsters HD. You see, they felt that showing Return of Living Dead 24/7 on one channel wasn't enough - so now you can get it on two channels.

Oh, they may also show Sheryl Crow Soundstage even though its not a movie - its just such a favorite that they need to show it more.

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I've yet to see a single program listed on any VOOM channel that was worth watching. It's all crapola. IMHO, of course.

Personally, I'd much rather iO carried the existing movie channels, those in the 300 range, in HD, rather than adding new HD channels just to be able to say they did so.

I like RAVEHD. I watch jools holland all the time. But thats the only channel from all the VOOM channels I can stand to watch.

I think quality of EquatorHD is on par with discovery channel or national geographic. it's extremely interesting to me.

gameplayhd is good for mindless timewasting when you don't feel like actually playing games
newshd is a pretty good alternative to the usual news channels
