| reply to sortofageek Just got a letter in the mail that said - "Fastest fast - coming soon to Utah." It even showed the prices for all their new tiers, including the 50/10. It said to call for more information. So I did.
They knew NOTHING! He said they had no time frame on when it would be released. Why send the letter in the first place? What is the point? Why tell me to call for more information if they can't give that information to me?
Lousy marketing. |

| reply to PGHammer said by PGHammer :said by sortofageek :"20/4" sounds like "up to 20/4," which would be the 16/2 tier with PowerBoost. There is another stickied topic about 16/2 and 12/2 tiers. The DOCSIS 3.0 tiers are 22/5 + PowerBoost and 50/10, just to keep this clear from confusion. In short, typical of BLAST (which is now Comcast's middle tier, and used to be their high end). It still is their high end tier in areas like mine, we don't have DOCSIS 3.0 yet. -- You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. |

Download Speed: 39057 kbps (4882.1 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 8605 kbps (1075.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Comcast speed test shows about 60mbps up / 10 down. However, actual speeds from Giganews is still about 2.0MBps. |

| reply to BugDave UPDATE!!!!!
I called back after reading fileshackorg's comment. I spoke to a lady this time in the Ann Arbor call center. She said they received an email yesterday/very recently and it gives a list of MI cities launch dates. Some will see it as early as the 11th!
Decmber 11th 2009 Auburn Hills Birmingham Dearborn Dearborn Heights Madison Heights Rochester Hills
December 22nd 2009 Ann Arbor Battle Creek Canton Holt New Haven Plymouth Yipsilanti
She didn't have any other dates but said the rest of the cities should follow sometime in January. I'm in Detroit so it looks like most will be enjoying the upgrades without me
P.S. please excuse my double post |

| reply to FileShackOrg said by FileShackOrg :I just called and the rep told me he couldn't confirm the date of Dec. 22 09 for Ann Arbor MI or anywhere else in michigan. Stated there is no call list and I'd just have to keep calling back to get an answer as to whether it is available or not. What callcenter did you speak with? I spoke with the Ann Arbor call center. Try calling back and asking again. It's possible that they are instructed not to tell us. |
