| [CATV] Some HD channels in NYC not accessible
I am paying for all HD Channels in NYC, but I still have ESPNHD, ESPN2HD, HDNET, HDDiscovery and HDMovies.
Last Year these channels were part of a plan called HD Tier 2 and I had to pay extra to receive them. But since then, RCN no longe have such plan, if you pay for HD you get these channels now.
I called RCN, and they confirmed this to me. But they couldn't unlock these channels for me.
Is there something weird going on here. Is it my cable HD-DVR cable box or RCN customer service is mis-informed and there is still a plan called HD Tier 2?
Anyone with a similar isuue who can she light on this.
Thanks |

| I just switched from TimeWarner to RCN last Tuesday in Queens, NY and I have the HD/DVR package. The sale rep told me that I would get all the HD channels when I signed up, but I do notice that I don't recieve ESPN/ESPN2 HD, HDNET and a couple of other HD channels also. I thought this was just a mistake and was going to call up RCN to find out. I'm wondering if other people have the same experience. |

| reply to Maximus300 I am glad, I am not the only one withthis problem. So it seems that NYC customers don't get these HD channels yet.
Whe the customer Service tried to reboot my Box remotely, and trying to send sugnals, it did not unlock teh channels. She coudn't figure out why I don't have these HD Channels. I think they are mis-informed. I get teh feeling these channels are not available yet since alot of customers signed up for the HD Tier 2 last year when it was available. |

| reply to Maximus300 You guys probably need to request a service call to your home. It should not be necessary but having a tech in your home communicating with your local RCN office might be the only way to get this resolved. I have found with RCN that talking to someone in another state with 1-800-RING-RCN is often useless. |
