| Unlimited Data on Bell
So I just called bell to cancel my service, because my contract ended last month and they offered to charge me 44.95
I called and they offered 37.95 but without unlimited usage. After getting transferred to retentions they offered 37.95 + tax, for unlimited + 1month free on a 1-year contract.
Couldn't get them to go lower, but if you still want unlimited and bell, then thats a good option I guess. |

I was offered the same deal back in March and they then tacked on an extra $30 for going over the 60 Gb cap. I mentioned that I was on "unlimited" but alas, it didn't exist anymore and the rep told me there was nothing they could do about it.
But it sure sounded good when the retention rep told me I'd definitely have it!
Edit: From my personal experience, retention will tell you whatever you want to hear because it counts as a sale for that rep. And when you call in all upset about it the next month, it's somebody else's problem. Don't believe a single word they say and make sure you get them to email you the contract details, especially with the unlimited part. I guarantee you, they won't do it. |

  do dont
@videotron.ca
| reply to shyn3 There are many instance of Bell Rep, managers, executives, retention people, offering the people "unlimited". But alas it is not honored and then you are stuck in a year or 2 year contract.
Some people do properly get the 25$ unlimited option and have the 25$ credited back.
I would get it in writing.
A Bell firefighting team from one of the Executives are accessible here: »/forum/sympatdirect
Ask them if you will get unlimited and have it honored, if they won't confirm a definite "yes" in writing that you can print off, or won't send you an Email to confirm you will indeed stay unlimited for the duration of your contract, then let that speak for itself and take it as a warning before you committ to anything. |

| Officially the retention department or any other dept as a matter of fact should not be giving out unlimited bandwidth.
If they are, then most likely they are applying the credit manually month to month and are not authorized to do so. However we can investigate it for you if you wish, should your billing/usage prove otherwise.
In all, if an agent is promising you unlimited, they should send you a copy via e-mail to which you can read all of the billing details with the promise of unlimited. Personally I would probably get his agent ID and time to which the call was placed. -- Bell Sympatico DSLR support, *New hours Mon To Fri, 1pm to 9pm |

| Exactly ninjasquad, and once its sent out it also kepts a history in our database so that any agent can input your b1 info and see the contracts that were sent out and accepted via e-mail. -- Bell Sympatico DSLR support, *New hours Mon To Fri, 1pm to 9pm |

Luckily I did have the rep's name, date and time of call and a very nice rep from Moncton gave me the credit. She even explained that they don't have the option to add unlimited anymore and that it'd have to be a monthly credit.
It's a shame there's some agents doing this. No wonder you and Deadpool have your hands full on here! Whatever you two are getting paid, it certainly ain't enough. |

| reply to shyn3 Retention called me after I said no.
They offered me 29.95 for unlimited.
Sounds 2 good to be true, and when I stated im switching to acanac internet they said they throttle speeds, and are a horrible ISP.
Also she mentionted it has only 3 hours customer service hours, and no phone support.
When I asked if bell throttles she was like ofcourse not, and I asked who does acanac pay for their host, she said no idea.
I love it, they calling me back tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice on getting a written contract, I'll make sure I get that before agreeing to anything.
Thanks for the heads-up guys, JP. |

| reply to shyn3 With all this false info Bell employees are throwing around about the wholesalers, they may want to be careful.. this has a huge lawsuit written all over it.
I few calls recorded and played in court may just cost Bell more than a few lost customers. |

| reply to shyn3 I am not surprised at all by this story. This type of unethical behaver is common place at Bell. Not only from Bell's retention department, but also from the setup crew. We have warned the Bell executives many times. They seem to brush it off as a one time event, but in my opinion it goes way further up. For now we will continue collecting as much information as possible, but if these practices continue all options are open.
shyn3 Would you be so kind to send me a PM documenting your encounter with the Bell retention department. We would like to include this episode in our official records.
Best Regards, Paul »www.acanac.ca |
