Who here uses the Apple Keyboard and how do you like it? How is it in comparison to standard keyboards? I've been thinking of getting one to use with my MacBook Pro when I'm home and I would like some actual user feedback from members on this site. Thanks. -- "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo |

| I have the bluetooth wireless version without the number pad and its great. After you pair it once its pretty much as reliable as a wired version (but thats besides the point).
Its weighted pretty nice and won't move around during use (i suspect the wired version would do the same).
It feels a bit different than the keyboard of my macbook pro (rev 2 for those who care) in terms of key space. My fingers feel like they may glide off of the surface of the wireless keyboard's keys if i'm not careful lol.
I have some videos I was making for youtube but I never finished making my review. I might be able to find my writeup. |

| reply to Alpha Phoenix I got the wired then bought a Bluetooth one also... I like them both very much.
They are flat keys, so the keys themselves aren't concave so that it holds your fingertips in the center - so that takes a little to get used to. But the very short and precise key travel is very nice and makes typing for me very effortless. |

| reply to Alpha Phoenix The new slim keyboard came with my iMac at work, and I thought I wasn't going to care for it, but it's really grown on me. I use the old-style Apple Pro keyboard at home, and I always liked it, but now that I'm using the slim one at work the Pro feels kind of clunky, and I'm thinking of picking up a slim keyboard for home, too. Typing on the Apple keyboard reminds me of typing on the keyboard of my old ThinkPad - very easy to type on, not "mushy" (to borrow a word from rugby ) like the MBP's.
I'd rank this as the "second or third best keyboard I've ever used." -- $ sudo rm -rf / |

But Apple killed my BT version with a firmware update that have me repeating keys. |

| reply to Alpha Phoenix I have the wireless one and my typing speed has grown substantially since I got it. Not to sound funny here, but now using a normal keyboard, its like my fingers have to climb mountains to hit the keys, whereas there is very little vertical movement with the slim one.
I'm happy with it. -- Ever wonder about the stars? |

| reply to Alpha Phoenix I had one for a couple weeks last year (a wired one), and it was indeed the best keyboard I've typed on (and I've used the infamous IBM M101 :P). The tactility is awesome, but it takes a little while to get used to typing with your hands completely on the table! |

I will agree with Alpha Phoenix - if only it was backlit like the MacBook Air! |

I use a regular microsoft keyboard at work... and the new wired apple flat keyboard at home. I have terrible trouble switching between the two. I'm a touch typist and the spacing on the keys on the apple keyboard is just enough different that I find myself catching the edges of the keys. The apple keyboard itself seems great - not so sure that it's ergonomically good though... the clickity clack of the keys feels nice -- 2b or not 2b -- none of this really matters |

| reply to Alpha Phoenix I got the new Apple keyboard and a mighty mouse (both with wire) not long ago (2 weeks).
I like it a lot, very quiet compared too my old white keyboard. It's so quiet t now that the mighty mouse is noisier than the keyboard! ! !.
I whish the the spring in the mighty mouse is softer so it won't require that much effort when I cicik and will also make less noise... |

| reply to Alpha Phoenix For those who use keyboard with the MacBook Pro- how do you position it? Do you place it adjacent to the built-in keyboard? Is it awkward when the keyboard is not placed directly in front of the screen? (I'm about to purchase a MacBook Pro, and this keyboard sounds very appealing.) |
