| [modem/router] Best Replacement Modem?
I've had a few ActionTec modems that have died over the many years I have been a Verizon customer. I had one go out recently and now it's time to buy a new modem (out of warranty).
I wanted to get the Westell Gateway 7500 but Verizon has told me that it's not out yet. Is it worth it to get the older Westell or get another Actiontec?

| Don't know where you are but i just received a Westell 7500 gateway from verizon when i ordered DSL last month.I'm in Philadelphia and the 7500 works very well,suggest you try calling again.  |

Any ADSL2 compatible modem, or modem/router combo, will work just fine. |

WHAT???! not out yet?!?! The 7500's been out for months now. in fact, if i'm not mistaken, the first shipment went out in February. post over in the Verizon Direct forum if you're not getting any help from Verizon Sales or Billing. they'll help. |
