| Tweak tester II error.
Please help. When I start the Tweak tester II (»/tweaks) I receive the The test server is unreachable. Error: No route to host: connect
I have the router/Firewall D-Link 504T plus Windows Firewall enabled (Windows XP) and I tried disabling all the firewall option in both my router and windows, but I still receive the error.
What would you suggest? Above are the options of my router/firewall
.what should I disable/enable in order to complete the Tweak tester II test?
Thanks a bunch. |

| I forgot to tell that I even put my IP computer (192.168.1.2) in the DMZ...that would totally disable the firewall and expose the computer to the net right? But that should also allow me to complete the test, but it doesn't....:/
Any help would is appreciated. Thanks. |

| It has nothing to do with is you are pingable or not.
192.168.1.2 is your internal IP that the router assigns and it is not you public IP. That is the one that you use for the DMZ. -- "You can observe a lot by watching". Yogi Berra |

| Ok, thanks for the info...but then what should I do? I disabled Windows Firewall and in my router's firewall I portforwarded port 8085 and 8086 as you can see from the image attached....
???
Still no joy for me. |

| reply to vampire666 Fast update, I tried the test on uBuntu 8.04 and the test runs completly...so now I know that my firewall isn't the culprit, but windows or some other program installed (maybe the antivirus or some ad-aware program).
I'll make some other tests.

| reply to vampire666 Ok...I feel super stupid...it was Peer Guardian2 that was blocking the connection between my PC and the tweak test server.
I enabled the IP and the test runs fine.
I know, I know...what a rookie mistake...it's just that I use PS tray Factory and I couldn't see the blinking PG2 icon (that indicates that it is blocking something)...I totally forgot about that proggy that was running on my system!
My bad. |
