| [Hockey] Marlies WTF!?!
Why the hell is Clemenssen playing? Wasting time I turned on the Leafs channel and they're showing a replay game of the Marlies. I did some searching and it seems Clemenssen has played since Game 1 of the first round with Pogge only replacing him once after a 3 goal outburst.
What the hell? How is Pogge supposed to gain experience if Clemenssen is taking the playoffs? I didn't read anything on an injury to Pogge. Please, someone tell me why our future is starting to rot on the bench?
I hope someone tells me he's injured, because that's the only logical explanation. I can't find any information anywhere though. |

| Going into OT and just seen Pogge on the bench. So he isn't injured. This is ridiculous. So we trade away future #1 in Rask (who is better than Pogge in my opinion) because Pogge is going to be our future. Instead of giving Pogge experience we have him sitting the bench in the playoffs.
Also seems he split the season 50-50 with Clemmensen. What gives? I don't care how good Clemmensen is playing, he isn't our future. So much for Pogge ... |

| I expect our future #1 to be the starter and the backup to only play when our future #1 feels like he needs a rest.
Before today I thought the Marlies were the only thing right with the Leafs. Now I know they are the worst of it. Not only is it rare for us to draft decent talent, but when we do finally get it we let them rot. |

| reply to alamarco Was at the game tonight and wow, so many people showed up to the game... the players really looked like they were thankful for so much support though. I always have felt kind of sad for the team considering it's hard to go to other arena's and see a sellout, and come back home and get maybe 200-300 fans TOPS per night.
Was a REALLY good game to watch, I really don't know why I haven't watched them more, they are much more alive, much more into the game than the Leafs I have to say sadly, and they have some great players!
Cheers to them -- Life is a game of blackjack. You keep playing until you bust. |

Wow......that's a small crowd for a 67s Friday night home game (the Sunday afternoons are a bit lower). Are you serious that the Marlies rarely draw above 2500 per game? I'm shocked......I would have thought a city that craves Leafs tickets would clamor to see the Leafs Jr for less than half the ticket price of the ACC. -- All of us get lost in the darkness, dreamers learn to steer by the stars All of us do time in the gutter, dreamers turn to look at the cars -- Peart/Lee/Lifeson Join Team Helix

| The marlies drew better during the regular season than the playoffs. It's quite depressing, really, but nobody cares.
Game 1 in the first round drew less than 1200 people

| That's 'coz it's the only game in town (and having a good team helps too!)
In the GTA (not just downtown Toronto) if it ain't the Leafs, nobody cares. A few years back (2004?)when the IceDogs made a run to the OHL Final, the home games that went up against a Leafs playoff game on TV were at best attended by 3000, attendance jumped to about 5000 if the Leafs weren't playing. |
