| Severe Weather Update 4:05 PM CDT May 10 2008
There has been an audio update for severe weather in the Southern Plains at »www.oklahomathunder.net/swu.m4a that can be downloaded and heard issued at 4:05 PM CDT and uploaded as of 4:09 PM CDT.
Convergence along a dry-line has decreased as a result of a surface trough that has formed just east of the dry-line. As the dry-line pushes eastward over the next several hours it will merge with the surface trough. Convergence will then increase significantly as this happens allowing for rapid re-development of showers and thunderstorms through 9 PM in the various tornado watches issued for these areas east of I-35.
Residents of the Southern Plains east of I-35 should monitor their severe weather forecasts frequently for further statements, watches and possible warnings this evening and overnight as the system continues to move east.

My dad was born and raised in NE OK. He was born in Commerce. My dad's parents lived right outside of Quapaw when I was young.
