Very true... I have a Nextel Blackberry 7100i, and never receive spam (filters work well). On my AT&T Samsung ZX-20, I had to have AT&T disable messaging altogether, as both lines we receiving ringtone spam ad messaging Of course, AT&T has some 'controls', but then you have to pay fees to use it.
