How to keep DSL and flush Bell?

Hi everyone,

I'm moving on July 1st and want to keep my actual Sympatico service (I have a contract and they finally got it right... after 3 years) without having any "phone service" from them.

Reason is I'm switching to cell as my main means of phone communication. (I do NOT want Bell Mobility!)
So I don't need landline service, just an active wire.

Is this possible? If not...

How can I ensure I'll have DSL where I move if I'm not enslaved to Bell anymore? (will Teksavvy switch me from one remote to another if I have speed problems, etc.)

Thanks for your help

Yes, call Bell, tell them you're moving and you want a dry loop at your new home on such & such a date.

You can't ensure it will be active when the move is complete. Some people have no issues, others have issues.

Here's an even better version of your title:

"How to keep DSL and get away with Bell throttling?"

I'm not sure how to interpret your new title? How can *I* get away with Bell throttling (sounds like I'm not getting away with much!

Thank you Martin for answering me politely, although I wrote as though I'm done being nice with Bell... that means a lot to me!

Will I need to cancel the request I put in at the Moving Centre page before asking for a dry loop? (What can I do to prevent confusion among your different departments about this)?

Thanks again!!

To make it secure I would suggest posting in the direct forum. This way only you & agent in this list »/who?rr=288 can have access to the information posted.

You'll then be able to provide user id, phone # & mover order confirmation #.

I'll be able to call you & we can do this by phone.

Regards,
Martin
