If you are using a 2006 or latter version of NIS, all three machines will be extended. The first machine should reflect the change right away and the 2nd and 3rd machines should reflect the update the next time that they update their definitions.

from experience, i would force an update, after you renew. Otherwise Norton may lock itself, and you cant restart it, without an new install.
