| Does 3Web cable throttle P2P traffic?
I have searched for all posts on forums, but can't get a definitive answer.
Is 3web's CABLE service, being on leased Rogers line, throttle P2P traffic? What about newsgroup traffic?
Secondly, I notice that 3web doesn't offer "Platinum" service in the GTA, despite those speeds being offered by Rogers - is this just due to an un-updated website? |

| I live in downtown Toronto (M5S XXX postal code)
Please confirm my unthrottled ISP options, which I believe are:
- 3Web Cable - Acanac DSL (using SSH tunneling) - Teksavvy DSL (using MLPPP) - Primu DSL (providing im on GCC ADSL2+ profile and have the Triple Value Bundle) |

| reply to slaman Hi All,
I'm a 3web Golden Cable user and live in North York. I used to get over 200K download speed via emule(a p2p software).
My internet was cut off 2 days ago. I called 3web and they sent a ticket to Rogers. Yesterday afternoon my internet came back. I noticed they assigned me a different IP address. The problem is, my p2p download speed degraded a lot. I only got 10k download speed last night. It went up to 50K after 8:30am this morning.
I am wondering if 3web throttles P2P like rogers does now.
Can anybody confirm that? Thanks a lot. |

Acanac and eBox are currently working to be able to offer MLPPP in the future. |

Nope, it's a Cybersurf IP - it looks fine to me. Nothing has changed on your end or anything? The CIA connection here is still working fine and unthrottled.
