| ASP on Linux Host?
I'm trying to help out a family friend with moving his website from his current hosting company to another.
I'm trying to move him over to Bluehost.com which runs linux servers & his website is all .ASP I put his site on my server just for testing before i make an account for him but when I go to his website it would only show the files in the directory and not the site.

Any idea if its possible to get this site to work on a linux server (bluehost.com) I'm currently talking to their Live tech support but they are useless telling me to add the .html files to the directory

| reply to bryanviper I checked into running ASP on Linux back about 3-4 years ago, and at that time it wasn't really recommended. I'm not sure if things have changed since then, but I have to ask why even try? Why not just stay with a Windows host? -- My Business website: MerrittConstruction.com | My Gaming Website: KensGaming.com |

| reply to bryanviper Chillisoft is the only *nix based ASP solution. I wouldn't recommend it however, just like i probably wouldn't recommend running php on a windows box. I'm not sure if things have changed since then, but I have to ask why even try? Why not just stay with a Windows host? Reason is the current guy that hosts our family friends website is no longer going to be doing hosting. So I would like to move him over to the webhosting company I use since its a good price and the uptime has been very good for myself.
But as I have been seeing its not a good idea to run asp on a linux box. So I may have to talk to a friend that does windows hosting and go with him.
Any other companies you guys suggest that has windows hosting?
