Way to go Rays!! Beat them Yankees again!!! Finally this late in the season we are not 10 games out!!!! I have been a fan since the start, man, finally to have a winning ball team, playing like major leaguers. I hope they stay healthy. I'm telling y'all right now, look out for this team.
Oh yea, I'll be moving to Manhattan within the next couple of days.

All I have to say is the 1991 Braves and Twins, both worst to first, and they put on one of the greatest World Series ever played. I was a Braves fan for all of the losing years, and no one expected what they did that season.
Right now the Rays have a 4-0 lead over the Yankees as I post this. I think they can keep it going all season. They are playing some great ball. |

I pity the Rays as they are playing great baseball but nobody seems to care in the TB area. The attendance of last night's game was 10,927 (link)......the Lightning draw bigger crowds than that. |

| Yea, the attendance is bad. This area has a bunch of fairweather fans. It was the same when the Bucs and Lightning were bad. I was able to get $100 tickets for the Lightning for pennies on the dollar, if not free. If the winning keeps up, all of the fairweather fans will come out of the woodwork and the Trop will start filling up. I would love to go to every game myself. A local sports columnist has a great article about it in today's paper.

Baseball in Florida is only a handful of years old. Most of the older people who live in Florida are from up north. There are a shitload Mets and Yankee fans there. The kids who are growing up will follow the Marlins and Rays and in the next 20 years I believe there will be a ton more "real" fans of the Rays and Marlins.

Regards, Mike When the Sox come to town, a lot of people fly here to attend the games, because it is cheaper for them. I have been to plenty of games where the Sox fans outnumbered us 3-1.

I'm actually a transplant from up north, we moved here when I was 4. I had always been a Braves fan because that was the closest team. I became an immediate fan when we got the Rays 10 years ago. |

They got destroyed by the White Sox who were sucking ass back then also.
