Westell 327 router need help making wired connection to 360

Hey I'm having problems connection my westell(Att/Bellsouth) Dsl router to my 360. It can recognize the fact that there is a wired connection but then it cant get an IP or anything and it gets stopped there.

I've looked alot of places and I'm about ready get the bleach and get on my spaceship. What are the settings that I need to put in place so the connection works?

I have the modem running wireless to my laptop if that makes a difference, PLEASE HELP ME!!

Is this a new 360, have you had hardwired before?

There should be no issue from the 327 itself, ran XBL on it for quite a while and is NAT friendly.

Run the XBL test again and check what the values are in the "edit settings" section and post back what it says for the IP address.

just setup the xbox on the westell as the "default server"

and also make the westell doing dhcp

You have to create an IP passthru under local network after you identify your xbox. Then reboot xbox and westell 327

it sometimes works, if you've tried everything else

No, IP passthrough is not necessary for the 327, as I previously said it's NAT friendly.

There is no need to set up the XB as "default" anything, there are other varibles here that the op has not posted back on.

I've been doin the XB/XBL thing for quite a while, so let's not make this anymore confusing.

Thx
