I have a couple of new ones around here too (still in the box) but Im holding on to them because the one Im using now will likely wear out sooner or later.
The key is to strike when the iron is hot. The n52 was really cheap and readily available for a time there. They were practically giving them away there for a while.
Also you can probably just RMA your failing n52. Depending on stock they might give you another n52 or possibly upgrade you to an n52te,
..or do you have something against the n52? |

..or do you have something against the n52? Yeah, I'm trying to get a hold of some new ones so I have backups. I assume you mean do I have something against the n52te, which I do; reading the Belkin forums (»www.n52te.com/community/), it seems like a p.o.s. I thought about RMA'ing my n52, but it looks like they will replace it with a n52te, not a n52. |

| Yeah, thats what I meant,
. or do you have something against the n52te?. I didnt know users were having a hard time with the new n52te. Ill checkout the forums.
BTW, have you tried using the new Razor software bundled with the n52te with the old n52? I gave it a shot briefly and it seemed to work. |

| Yeah, I hear you, however,
.
The reasoning is still sound depending on your point of reference. For example, in Vista the older Nostromo software (which has some sparing updates) is so broken that almost anything would be an improvement. So yeah, even though I have confirmed that the new Razor software works with the older n52 in Vista I think I am going to have to test it further on the old n52. Also note that there will supposedly be an upcoming Razor software update to address its shortcomings.
I think I would rather have an old n52 with updated Razor software then a new n52te but largely due to the price of the new n52te and less so due to the current stat of software. |
