| reply to HEDP Re: Important information about unlimited plans
Ok... so I've heard so many things about this supposed 5GB cap... BUT, today I went into sprint and signed up for voice service (coming from AT&T). While there I asked about the 5GB cap, and both employees quickly told me that I would not be effected, and that I was "grandfathered" into the unlimited plan. I told them about the rumors going on at DSLReports.com, but they reassured me that my account was not effected. I also have not received any notice about the cap on my latest bill. -- World of Warcraft - My anti-drug.

| reply to buckeyetom I just got my bill too, I am a 1 year subscriber & in SMALL PRINT on PAGE 2 there is a blurb about they will be changing the service for ALL SUBSCRIBERS to a 5GB limit and I have UNLIMITED SERVICE right on my bill.
So if they CHANGE the rules, I should be able to OPT OUT... 5 guys were working on my tower last weekend ( it is only 2 miles from me & the neighbor that owns it called me cause she thought someone was trespassing).
My Speeds on Yahoo has declined this morning & I use Firefox + Windows XP + Sprint BB card. But this site is still ok, but it is NOT as INTERACTIVE as the Yahoo site. Will test this speed for the next 2 weeks... if it is SLOWED down, I am walking.. The local WISP is 39.99 with a Yagi & I am paying 59.99 + tax & also paying Earthlink 9.995 for email account only. Time to cut somebody loose.... |

39270215 bytes = 39.27 MB...pretty low usage It's measured in KB, so that would be 39 GB. --

| reply to HEDP its funny, i looked at the usage meter, and i regulary am in the 30 billion range bytes wise...
currently as of june 14th, i have used:
Individual Usage for (631)***-**** New minutes begin June 21 Other Usage Included Used Remaining Vision Data Unlimited 39270215 Unlimited
like i said earlier lol, with my weather station and uploading to the NWS, wunderground, CWOP, and a few other things, comes the higher usage of bandwith.. what sprint going tell me that lots of people use the tower by me? i live in a town thats barely has 1 million people and on top of that, its all older people.
And i just remembered something lol, the Southold Town Police, and Fire Departments around here all have nextel phones, and sprint data cards, only one can wonder what will happen next!!!!! |
