How are these boxes with WOW, do they have TIVO software?

Boxes are ok - mine has been solid since I first got it, no Tivo software - thank goodness - the Tivo software sounds terrible!

I'm not a big fan of the interface on the dvr. It does the job but it's not very well put together.

I agree. But there is always the possibility of WOW using a different IPG. I have hopes that they will change it out.

Would be great if they used one of the other IPG's - let's all hope

I like the HD DVR. I never had a problem with the SA 8300 HD DVR STB. It records what I select to record.

I do have a few nit picks however. The buttons on the box are rather cheap and everytime you press them it makes a clicking noise and you think the buttons will break. Also, I wish there was an option to where when you select to record a show for all new episodes that you can record from lets say 8:00-9:02 because sometimes 1 hour cuts off the ending of the show. You can simply change this, but you have to do this every week rather than only once. That gets kind of annoying after a while.

By the way, whats IPG? I am not familiar with that. Abbreviation for something?

Passport looks much better than SARA, not sure if anyone has had any experiences with it

I agree. Passport looks much better. One feature I would like to have (Passport has it and SARA does not) is that you can type in the name of a program using a virtual keyboard instead of only being able to choose the first letter and then scrolling through many programs. Plus, Passport looks much better from what I have seen.

Just that functionality would sell it for me - so painful having to hunt
