but it doesnt sound like a higher speed since it's standard. have you powercycled your modem recently or after the upgrade? |

My best guess is that it is the config file used to transition you from Insight to Comcast at whatever speed tier was to be in effect at that time.
Your best chance of finding anything out would probably be to go to your local Comcast office and press to find someone there who can answer that question with authority. As MacLeech  has pointed out previously, the name may or may not reflect what you think it does. The name itself does not affect your speed tier. It is the content of the file that matters.
