Nice little fix I found in IE8 Beta!

Ever since using Windows Vista I did not like the fact that even after setting IE7 to always open "Maximized" under Properties it would still open at what the last window size was when IE7 was closed.

Well I just installed IE8 Beta 1 and I am very happy to see this is now fixed in IE8

Just wanted to let people know who may have also hated this bug.

I really have high hopes for IE8!

I never had this issue with IE7 and Vista (RTM, SP1). Glad IE8 fixes it for you, though.

Yes I remember you telling me that you did not have this problem. I never understood that because both of my computers had this issue even after a fresh install.

Yeah, I have a USB 2 slowdown issue with Vista SP1 (not in the RTM) and almost everyone else doesn't. It's a bug for me that's not bugging most others...

How slow are we talking? And what was it in RTM?

SP1 was supposed to have a fix for the SB600 chipset for AHCI, but when I went to install (with AHCI enabled in the BIOS) and using the 64bit SP1 disc I ordered, it wouldn't even recognize the hard drive.

I neglected to mention it affects Firewire as well. The top image is my 400GB Firewire drive in XP and the bottom is in Vista SP1. It's about a 10MB/second slowdown and USB 2 is similar.
