| Need help to become pingable
Can someone help me becoming "pingable" ... the only way I was able to do this was to completely shut off the firewall. I am using Windows XP firewall, but also have Windows One Care so it takes over the settings of the XP firewall.

| Those steps weren't exactly the way I needed to go about checking the ICMP settings. But I figured it out and it is turned on.
Start Control Panel Security Center Windows Firewall Advanced (tab)
Then you can click the settings button for the ICMP section. Or you can select each of your network connections at the top and click the settings button next to that.
Still not pingable.
BTW, I am using a DGL-4300 router if that may have anything to do with it. |
