Cap Haitien | [Need Info] How do I copy flash media streams? Hi, is there a free program that I can use to sometimes copy videos that i like from like youtube, netflix etc.... I guess most of it uses flash player, but I cannot figure out how to copy any of the streams. |

The only way I could possibly imagine you recording Netflix streaming content would be to use something like Camtasia Studio or SnagIt. Not worth the effort, though. |

Netflix is trickier because it's fully DRM'ed via Windows Media Player and requires the latest version of it which has not been cracked as far as I've been able to determine. |

Obviously I'm not the op, but I had wondered the same thing about saving Flash clips. The save2pc application works well and is easy too.

save2pc works fine on YouTube, but it won't work on LiveLeak...
What's the deal with different websites? Do you have to download and install different applications just to save the video to the computer?
Would someone recommend a free program that will save video from www.liveleak.com , and hopefully other sites?

Use the "Download Video" link at the top of the video?
That, and Real Player when viewing in IE or RP itself will download video from Liveleak.

On several flash sites, I have seen the little FG icon wanting to download the video for me - FlashGet is slao free!

| From what I read FlashGet has become a freeware, although it has not always been. Version 1.9.6 of the software still comes with advertisement in the form of "FlashGet recommends", but it can be turned off in the options.
Cause for more concern, if confirmed, is free version FlashGet's support of adware.

I figured out how to download the videos using Real Player. I had to upgrade to get the option. Now is there a way to save the file as an avi instead of a real player file?

It has no time limit. I download many You Tubes video music and convert them to audio only. You can download TV Shows and convert to .avi with FLV to AVI converter. The recording is as good as that being shown.
It has special sites You Tube among them where it works. Plus its free.

3 edits | Yea I did that. I thought Real Player would do it has well. No problem. I will just use save2pc or WinAVI to convert if I have to. But save2pc will let me copy as an avi from youtube. If I want to upgrade is it safe to register and give them your credit card?
