| [GA] New HD Channels?
This was pulled from AVS forum - HD in Albany, GA
Anyone have any information about A&E and History Channel HD showing up in the guide? It also appears that there is another channel that is not labeled at 833 and just shows "to be announced." Crossing my fingers for Discovery HD!

Im in Albany. Some time Thursday or Friday Mediacom turned on A&E and History HD (They had been showing "channel arriving shortly" for a little less than a week). However, 833 is still not labeled and still showing "To Be Announced" for all programing. I'm really happy to have History HD though!
Anyone else seeing these channels? |

| i got an email last week stating:
I am pleased to inform you that Mediacom has just announced its plans to launch 8 additional HD channels in the Valdosta area on June 26th. These channels include: TNT HD, TBS HD, FSN South, Fox SportsSouth, PPV HD, A&E HD, History HD, and CNN HD at not additional charge for Family cable customers. You will, however, need an HD converter box, to receive the HD signal. If you currently have a standard converter box, just bring it in and exchange it for an HD box for no additional charge. As always, Mediacom is committed to bringing the best possible programming and services to our communities here in Georgia and look forward to a continued relationship with each of our customers. |

that being said, i have had no additional channels show up in my guide yet...not that i really expect them before the date given |

| yeah, they were there when i came home on thursday...2 of them still aren't working and both TBS and CNN are breaking up really bad...to the point that i can't watch them. but after all they did say June 26, so i can't really complain...i'm just happy that i'll be able to watch my nascar race in HD this week |

@mchsi.com | ah man, "First 48" is an awesome real life investigator show on A&E...new episodes come on every tuesday, it's definitely a must watch. and History Channel has a few things from time to time |
