|  help in getting comcast to check signal strength!
I finally figured out my problem without comcast. apparently the signal strength has dropped, was dropped sometime friday morning. what from I don't know. If I connect my modem directly to the cable from outside I have a signal with no problem, If I connect to any splitter with no other cable connected it's ok. But when I hook up the cable to the rest of the house on the splitter the signal drops. Also, after 12midnight til about 8am signal strength is high enough to surf.(no one's up watching tv then i guess) They just turned on the @home service less then 2 weeks ago.
Now getting comcast to come out and check the signal strength before the tech is scheduled to arrive thur night is another story, any Idea's on how I could get then out earlier to check the signal strength at the node without actually making a visit to my house?
I know what the problem is but how do I get comcast to check signal strength at the node, they said they can't check my line do to not fully upgraded in my area and a tech isn't scheduled til thur night. |

| Comcast told me I had a signal strength problem I was down cold from Friday at 2:30pm to about 2:30pm on Saturday and now I've been online since. Where do you live?, I think their admins are messing around with the equipment and it's having negative affects on a lot of customers. Not to mention, tech support doesn't have a clue on what to do. They tried to tell me my modem needed replaced, and then after escalating to a supervisor she said it was a line problem, and then I got hung up on by her. Good Ole, Comcast, trying to go bankrupt. |

WOW RON COMCAST TECH WAS HERE LAST WEEK SAID ONE OF MY SIGNALS WERE TO HIGH AND THE OUTSIDE LINE TECHS ARE SCHEDULED TO FIX THAT TOMMOROW(XMAS EVE! OVERTIME HUH.
BECAUSE I WAS GETTEING HIGH PINGS AND RETRANSMISSIONS HOPE THEY DONT SET ME TO LOW.
