How to turn WGR614v5 into wireless acccess point?

I'm considering getting AT&T Broadband. It is my understanding their modems are also routers. I have a WGR614v5 router that I'm using now with Insight. I would like to keep it up and running since my Tivo and Wii also connect through it. Is it possible? Do I just have to turn DHCP off in the router to make it an access point? also posting this in the AT&T Southeast forum.

They used to have something on the website addressing this, which said more or less to turn off DHCP and don't use the uplink (WAN) port.

That's right , disable DHCP and then connect the feed from the modem in to LAN1 not the WAN port .
