We both have Synesthesia. Yup, strange but true - Read about it here:

I didn't even know about that condition. I'll have to do some reading on that because it sounds (looks?) interesting.
On a side note, is it "bothersome" in any way to have it? I mean, does it prevent you from doing or enjoying anything? I would assume no, correct? -- And so castles made of sand, slip into the sea, eventually.

| Because I see numbers and letters in my head (each with a different color) it helps me remember number sequences. Remembering phone numbers and addresses is a cinch. It gives me somewhat of a photographic memory and I know I have perfect pitch (which is also an offshoot of it).
Sometimes the colors/numbers get jumbled because 6 and 8 are both the same color. I actually was interviewed by 60 minutes a few years ago and I also participated in a Harvard study (guinea pig) to test if you are "faking it or not". I scored a being a genuine synesthete.
It really is a fun thing to have and some of the more serious synesthetes take it a lot more seriously.
Every letter in the alphabet has a color assigned to it and days of the week and months of the year all have their own distinct color.
When I picture the months of the year, they appear in my mind before me as a 3D graphic starting with January (green) February (blue) etc.. but they start on the right side of the page and go from right to left with December being the last month on the far left of the visual continuum.

Overall, It flows seamlessly into daily life and does not interfere with my thought process. You'd be surprised how many people have it and don't even know it.
Some people say alcohol either enhances it or diminishes it but I have done many tests where I have titrated beer and wine in my body to see when it actually effects a change. No effect.....unless I was too stoned to know it.
