It's been a long while since I had anything to do with that system, but I believe going to 1G would require a complete overhaul. Going to 860 along with a move to v3 would be a very nice stop-gap prior to fully upgrading nodes, city-wide.
Even at 860 the new DOCSIS will still allow better channel loading, broader channel bandwidth, the often talked about increased downstream throughput, plus channel bonding. |

they also seem to be bleeding one anolog channels per 3 months
but there is very very few hd channels
there HD tier package consit of 4 channels

Analog image quality is neer there High-definition image quality
Standard-definition channels are crap as they changed the compression an few days ago pixelates really bad on my HD tv
littel noticeable on the SDTV poor contrast ratio (due to the very old box they use from 00 DCT2000 series) |
