| Your Monthly Statement is Enclosed
I received the Your monthly statement is Enclosed email on May 1, May 15, May 31, June 14, June 30, and July 14.
I only have 1 account.
If every other utility, credit card, and service sent me a monthly bill twice a month...it would be a lot of bills.
Not to mention that when I signed up it was positioned as a flat fee for a full year...just salt in the wound now.
Can't you guys get your act together enough to send one bill a month or, better yet, just do the full bill for the year and stop with the onslaught of emails? -- YOU can help reduce poverty, sustainably. »www.kiva.org/lender/kenandart

I get the same thing for my gas and garbage auto pay bills, no biggie. |

| Hi,
They have been doing some tweaking of the system that has resulted in these extra emails going out, however it shouldn't be having any effect anything other than your inbox. I will confirm with them, but I believe this month was the last month where this type of behavior should be seen.

| reply to VTBrendan Hi Brendan,
I noticed something unusual about this month's (July 08) billing statement: the statement stated that I will be charged for June & July..That seems strange since my bill for June was paid off in full in June itself. I must also add that the current hold put on my CC is only for the July amount. So, it appears that only the email is showing the double billing but this can be VERY misleading.
Any comments? |

Never mind..It was mistake on my end..The billing (and associated emails) all look fine. Sitting on the computer for long hours probably had a part to play in my mistake. |

| reply to koam Since this is my first month after my two year deal, I noticed I got 4 emails from VT. One about the montly statement, and then a receipt for the monthly statement. I then received a statement for the fees, and a receipt for the fees.
I don't think that is horrible. When ever I get an e-bill from a service, ie wireless bill, DSL bill etc, I always get the receipt of payment. |

3 edits | reply to VTBrendan Thanks. I think the model for a billing email (other than just having one flat fee to pay the beginning of the year...and then it's done unless you ring up international charges) would be:
1 email statement per month to include:
Prior balance - Payments applied during the month (itemized by date and form of payment, usually just the credit card on file, preferably one charge only) + ALL current charges for month (extra lines, reg. fees, int'l calls, etc.) itemized and totaled (in one place on one staement)..
= New balance
with a note that the new balance will be charged to the credit card on file on ____ Date. No need for a confirmation email that the amount was billed...that would be listed at the beginning of the next month's statement.
What is the formula for the fees that VT pays to the credit card companies? Is it xx cents + xx % of the $ amount charged for each transaction (like PayPal does in some models)...or is it just xx% of the $ amount charged? If it's the former, it'd be better to decrease the frequency of charges. -- YOU can help reduce poverty, sustainably. »www.kiva.org/lender/kenandart
