So does anybody know how the 9700m GTS stacks up against the 8800m GTS?
Here are the specs for the 9700m GTS for anyone that hasn't seen them yet:

Based on 3DMark06 they are roughly equal. Will have to wait for a review based on game benchmarks. |

wait for actual game benchmarks from wide-ranging games like crysis, HL2 ep2, WiC, and AoC. they will show performance in shader games, memory games, clock speed games, and mixtures. |

They will be almost the same. The 8800 shouldh ave an advantage in shader intensive games because it has 64 SPs versus 48 for the 9700M GTS but the 9700 has many new features, such as hybrid power (i.e, you're using an IGP while idle) so better battery life.... |
