[WMP] DSLR membership verification?

We've recently had a non-DSLR member join the fleet, only to cause disruption for a few days before attempting a failed mutiny and walking the plank into oblivion. In light of this:

Should we make a recruiting thread and require applicants to post in it to confirm they are members of this site?

I agree but maybe it should be reworded to a. you have to belong to this site or B. if you don't belong to this site you need to be referred by an existing member.

Then put a minimum length of time the existing member has to be with us before he can refer someone.

...i also think you should have to make a mandatory 'donation' to the fleet's treasure chest for each new member. A buy-in per se.
