I am planning on swapping out my C: drive and start with a fresh install of XP. Is there a good freeware/shareware that I can use to backup favorites, etc...?
Any help would be great

| It's all a manual process...at least that I know of. I've found it best to get/have a 2nd HDD to use for fresh installs. You can then get the new HDD up and running, then connect the original drive as a slave and copy over what you need. It never fails you will forget something, this way, you won't lose it. -- Google is your Friend |

| reply to simiglen I like Ashampoo's backup feature in their Burning Studio program. It's automated, and simple to use. Recently I've just been using old computers running Windows Home Server to do all my backups (with a program Carbonite for extra backup of work files). When a hard drive fails, just pop in a new one and Home Server takes care of the rest... it's like nothing ever happened. |
