3 edits | [General] VoIP providers with LNP Support
This was inspired by a thread at VoXalot today. These are the providers I know that support LNP. It'd be nice to have a comprehensive list of who supports LNP and where...
(My intent is no-nonsense providers that support a number and incoming calls)

Voip.ms Locations: US/Canada Link: »https://www.voip.ms/m/canadafootprint.php Note: To confirm availability for US, you need to be logged in at Voip.ms (accounts are free to setup)
Unlimitel.ca Locations: Canada Link: »www.unlimitel.ca/temp/networkmap.pdf Note: Use »www.unlimitel.ca/temp/ to check your number
Future-Nine.com Locations: US Link: »future-nine.com/faq/index.php?ac···=porting
CallCentric.com Locations: US/Canada Link: »www.callcentric.com/lnp/

| reply to emoci Why would you purposely leave off your list the 800 lb gorilla, Vonage, and only think to include rounding error providers?
anyway, for US based providers, this is a nonsense topic. virtually every US based provider supports LNP. A more useful list would be a list of exceptions. Specifically, which carriers will not allow port-ins and port-outs. To my knowledge the only US based provider that qualifies for that list is MagicJack.
Methinks you're more interested in Canadian providers -- I would expect that the same discussion applies -- much more instructive to list the carriers that won't port numbers. |

anyway, for US based providers, this is a nonsense topic. virtually every US based provider supports LNP. That would be an incorrect assumption. In general the list of pay-as-you-go providers (there are hundreds of them) who do not support LNP is much longer than those who do. -- Nitzan Kon, CEO Future Nine Corporation |

It was in the sense of providers where I can port a number, and park it there that will cost considerably less than the lowest available package with the phone company...
So the main concentration is just a number and incoming calls, no concern for outgoing packages...

That said though, maybe put something under the packages on the first page along the lines of "Keep your Current Number" that points to a quick Q&A about the procedure... |

I have not used them but they might do the job for some folks.
Edited:
(Oh---and maybe also InPhonex. They offer porting if you take their Liteline plan, which is PAYG but does have a monthly fee).
But of all the ones mentioned so far, I use CallCentric, and I have had great service with them. |

@seic.com | reply to emoci Vitelity supports LNP; charges $18
It would be helpful to add the charge, if any, to each provider.
CallCentric = $25 Future Nine = $25 VoiceStick = $0? |
