When you changed the PC IP address to static, it auto filled the subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and you typed the default gateway 192.168.0.1 right?
What do you have on the primary and secondary DNS boxes on the same window for the static IP?
Try Primary DNS 4.2.2.1 and secondary DNS 4.2.2.2
To test if this is an issue with the ports, you can first disabled the ports you have opened on the DI-524.
Then, on the DI-524 to by-pass the firewall you need to go to Advanced, and then select DMZ.
You need to select the radio button to enable, and the IP address below should be same as your PC (192.168.0.136) and then apply the changes.
Finally, try removing the power to the router for about 10 seconds, just to be sure that the setting change was applied.
*DMZ removes the firewall to one computer, so this is the perfect test to find out if the problem is coming from the ports not being opened properly. |

I don't know how to turn off my firewall though. That is the problem I'm having. My modem has no firewall, so that can't be it, and besides, even if it did, it can't be the problem because connecting directly to the modem works perfectly.
Forwarding ports 80 and 443 to 'Both' did nothing either  Though I didn't think it would anyway.
Oh, I also forgot to mention that most game servers for this game modification run anywhere from 5000 - 11000.

Maybe looking at it wrong. I would turn OFF firewall and see if that helps. You may have firewall on modem AND router. That was 1 problem I had with mine. Both had firewalls at same time. I see the ports 80 and 443 only TCP. Why not both? Try that. I am not saying it will fix. Maybe it will help. Or just maybe you have already tried.
I am going to be upgrading or just switching sometime soon to Linksys. |

Sorry, I should have told you. I have forwarded my ports on ports 80 (HTTP), 443 (HTTPS), 7777, 7778, 7779 and 8000. The last four of which are for running a game server(s) on my home PC. These server(s) run on those ports.
Here is a picture of my virtual server settings:

Try port fowarding? I have the same router. To me it is a little tricky since I am using DSL. With RR it was ok. It seems I lag alot on games now. I thought is was all DSL. It is about half and half. D-link and DSL. |

| Hello. I have had my DI-524 Wireless Router for a few years now, and have only found one problem with it. I casually play a game modification called San Andreas Multiplayer ( »www.sa-mp.com ), and I cannot connect to any other servers through the DI-524. I know that this is the problem, because when I take my router out of the equation, and connect directly to my DSL-302G ADSL Modem, I can play on any server I like, without timing-out or connecting badly.
I am very confused with this, as I have tried everything I can think of, as well as asking other people with more knowledge about routers and what-not than me, and none of those worked either. Please keep in mind that I know little-to-none about routers and their functions, so do forgive me for any stupid methods I have tried or anything along those lines.
This is my setup:
NOT WORKING (THROUGH DI-524)
ADSL Cable > DSL-302G Modem > Ethernet Cable > DI-524 Wireless Router (FIRMWARE: V2.04Patch05) > Ethernet Cable > Swann USB Fast Ethernet Adapter > USB Port (on computer)
WORKING (DIRECTLY TO MODEM)
ADSL Cable > DSL-302G Modem > USB Cable > USB Port (on computer)
I can connect to seemingly everything on the internet, except the game modification. My anti-virus is not the problem, as when connecting through the modem with anti-virus turned on, it still works. The only other possible problem is the USB adapter, but I doubt it (remember though, I don't know much about this).
I have a static internal IP address (192.168.0.136) but a dynamic external IP address (sucks, but hey, you can't have everything).

If there is absolutely any more information that you need to help me, feel free to ask. I have tried to include everything that I thought was relevant, but could not think of anything else.
Oh, I also have 100% packet loss when pinging sites such as google.com or yahoo.com, so  .
Please help me, even though this will probably be my only topic on these forums.
