| reply to nylaker thank you...you are an angel!!! This has been driving me crazy. I had antivirus 08 crap popping up all over the place. Installed into my toolbar. Nightmare! I had to pay 49.95 because it said I had 40 trojan horses, spyware, adware corrupting my computer. The balloons kept popping up. I uninstalled antivirus o8, but it was still on toolbar. Avg was working fine. spyzooka took care of it. However today, my avg was all screwed up. I uninstalled, ran spyzooka scan, then tried to reinstall. no luck But when i tried uninstalling avg free then reinstall "a. bin is missing" kept coming up.
you saved my ass....i am keeping my fingers crossed.
BEWARE ANTIVIRUS 08. |

| reply to nylaker reply to johnbor Found this solution on the yahoo answers forum from member intc_escapee and it worked for me:
1) go to »www.grisoft.com/ww.download-update 2) make a directory on your desktop called AVG 3) download AVI: 270.6.4 4) download IAVI: / 1616 5) move the dowloaded files to the directory you made called AVG 6) launch AVG 7) select tools -> update from directory 8) select the directory called AVG where you put the downloads
That's it. Should be fixed. OMG!!! THAnK YOU!!! I almost re installed windows thinking I had corupted it. I'm glad I checked this forum first! This fix works, don't re-install. |
