not too bad of a deal

Ehhh I might be inclined to pay $13 for temporary internet in flight depending on limitations.

You always run across the problem of limited battery life on your laptop though... too bad planes don't provide power outlets like trains do!

I was a flight from San Jose, CA to Chicago O'Hare round trip, and both AA flights offered a DC connector under almost every seat.

Tells you where power outlets are. What Airlines, what planes, what seats, etc.

I've flown Air Canada on the E90 and it has DC power, while the Airbus A320 has DC power on all the seats I saw, as well as AC power on 2/3 seats in each row.

They don't have wireless internet, though.
