Shooting For A Cause: Status Update

Just a quick status update. Thanks to the efforts of B52GUNR See Profile, JRSlater See Profile, and bostechie See Profile, the photos have been selected. We have 12 photos picked for each of the 4 calendars, plus 4 extra per topic for the photo books.

I've edited the photos to prep them for the calendars. Next, I'm going to make the covers. Then, I'm going to prep everything for the books.

With all I have to do, I might not make it by the Sept 1st deadline, but I'll strive to have it done as quickly as possible (without sacrificing quality, of course).

Next week, I'll post a list of the selected photos.

EDIT: I've reconsidered when to post the list of selected photos. I'll compile it tonight and post it either tonight or early tomorrow. This way if there are any typos, they'll have time to be corrected.

Thank you all! To you, Jason, a special thank you. I look forward to seeing the finished product. In the meantime, the list of selected images will have to do, and well timed. I check into the hospital for hip replacement the 4th so will be just in time to see it. This horrendous pain will leave and maybe begin when the list is posted. I will be excited to see who will represent us all.

Im honored to once again have images included in this project. The talent here is astounding and everyone whom had images selected should be commended. The whole project is for such a good cause and seemingly from the heart for everyone.

Jason, you did an outstanding job! Fellow judges, I agree it was very difficult and you toed the line and came through, to those that have submitted and were accepted, congrats!

Now, to those who submitted and were not accepted, don't think that this a judgment on your skills as a photographer, we simply didn't have enough space to include all the images.

Now, this is where I get a little nasty, to those that didn't submit, shame on you! There are a ton of images out there from some very talented and exceptional photographers yet we didn't see anything from you! This is for a good cause and these projects could use your assistance. Please consider submitting to the next project, it'll be here before you know it and it would truly be wonderful to see more images submitted. Yes, I need to hang my head in shame as I didn't submit anything either. Can we count on more submissions for the next project?

Well, I'm blown away. To have one of mine chosen would have been great but to have three has just blown me away.

Thanks to the time and effort put in by Jason and the judges, as has previously been said, its all for a good cause. the more people involved then the bigger the contribution.

Keep up the good work.

As the others who were selected have said, I'm thrilled to be included as one of the bonus selections for the book. The talent and generosity of this group is endless and I'm proud to be part of the project. Thanks to each of the judges for their time, and Jason for his dedication to pushing this along the way. Let's raise some $$$!

I'll join the fray in saying I'm honored to be selected just once, but multiple times is beyond honored Much thanks to the judges for taking the time to deal with all of this - we could not succeed without you.

On a side note - is there a way we could create a sticky @ the top of the forum with links to all the threads about SFAC? I wanted to go back and find the one with the calendar/book prices and couldn't find it....

While I was not chosen this time, I see that there are a bunch of wonderful photographers that were. I cannot wait to see the results and if, per chance, I don't, I know that these calendars will be fabulous. Way to go, all who were chosen.

Whoops! I didn't see my name. Missed it completely. Way to go, me. Seriously, thank you for choosing my image.
