| Guess it will be a while before I try it. It seems from their page. "You need a JavaScript-capable browser to download this software. Click here for instructions on how to enable JavaScript in your browser." Call me picky but don't want to enable javascript just to have to download. If this is any indication of how Chrome will work guess I'll never check it out. -- Bowling: It's cleaner than baseball. | |

1 edit | Re: Google Chrome Beta Released! said by lilhurricane :GoogleUpdater as a service? No thank you I saw no proper service listed in the services window, but did spy a GoogleUpdate process running in the background, even after closing Chrome.

Also very odd - after installing Chrome, I can no longer open IE. It crashes immediately. Not that I use IE, but that's still just not right.

1 edit | It sure is fast .. works also with OWA (MS Outlook Web Access).
I managed to crash it once..Here is what i did
1. One of the tabs was taking up the CPU (had about 8 - 10 tabs open) 2. I killed it through task manager (since each tab is a separate process) 3. It closed all the tabs !! 4. On opening chrome again it did not remember previously opened tabs and seemed to start with no tabs!! | |

| You're getting OWA to work? I'm getting a watered down view, similar to what Firefox gives. The folder functions and other UI features don't work. Have you compared this to IE and you're getting the same screens? This is a big bug with the number of companies who have OWA available for employee access to e-mail from home. | |

This is not a bug, this is a Microsoft "feature". Full OWA access is only permitted for Internet Explorer. All other browsers have to use OWA Light. On the login screen you'll see that the OWA Light option is selected and greyed out when using any browser other than IE. -- "Independent thinkers tend to ALWAYS have someone Not agreeing with them.
