Unless the dev site offers a portable edition or say a well known site like PortableApps.com I would be really leery about installing security software from a forum but that is just me.

I scanned the original one and it didn't pop up anything with bit defender. here's another few I found as well.

I gave it the basic bit defender and superantispyware sniff and so far it's passing. Spybot doesn't say you can't do it they just don't support it.

Just for clarity and to keep the paranoia to a dull roar I did upload it to virustotal and got this. Apparently it's been scanned before.

| There appears to be no paranoia just some question as to why chance it installing security apps from a a different forum or 3rd Party vendor when as chachazz pointed out the instruction for installing Spybot on a usb drive are available from the developers site.
