New Development For ADSL2+ (EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT)

....RUMOUR HAS IT....
....NEW FASTPATH ON ADSL2+ PROFILES....
....NO MORE FORCED INTERLEAVE....

This is very important to gamers, as it means lower latency then the standard profiles for 7Meg and upwards.

Inside source; as before there was just interleave profiles for ADSL2+, now there are FastPath profiles for every ADSL2+ profile from 7Meg up-to 16Meg.

Yeah, that would be good news since I just got on ADSL2+ and I hate seeing "interleaved" on my line stats...

Do we have to request this or is it done automatically?

Don't think you can for the Bell 2Wire, I have checked the hidden stats page tenfold and I can't find anything that may help.

I would like to see some tracert comparisons between a fastpath profile and an interleave profile for latency.

Shouldn't a properly configured ADSL2+ profile be 7040/1088?

at least on a 2700HG-B Gateway, it clearly shows interleaved on:
