| WengoPhone is now "Qute"
One of the better open source VoIP soft phones has apparently changed its name.
OpenWengo / WengoPhone is now called "Qute".

This product was originally tied to a particular French telecom but later generic SIP servers were allowed.
I've been testing an older WengoPhone. It's okay, but the interface could be better; for one thing I think the buttons are too small.

| reply to mazilo It (Mercurial/hg) sounds pretty similar to Torvald's "Git", in that it's very distributed rather than centralized.
One comparison is at »changelog.complete.org/posts/593···Git.html
But no I never heard of it before either.
As to the name, I like "Pidgin" even less than "GAIM" too, but sometimes you have no choice.

| I think we're going to open a daughter-company, it's going to be named YuckyCalls, Inc.
You get a ***free*** disgusting sound at the beginning of every call! (c'mon guys, it's FREE!)
Ok, maybe I'm stretching this joke a wee bit too far... |
