Hey, because the last thing we need between companies in America is competition, right? |

| Competition brings faster response, more responsible care, and cheaper prices. How are those things bad for the guy that needs care?
Or are you imagining something absurd like two ambulance drivers both trying to pull a gurney into the back of their van? |

| Right...The U.S. system is based on competition... but on a different level. The insurance companies hold the cards, and decide how and where your treatment will occur.
I think there's somewhere in Asia where you pay into insurance, but rather than it going directly into a specific carrier (say Blue Shield or Kaiser), its held until you use it, and can be used at ANY hospital. Hospitals there tend to try and win your business. U.S. system is built on co-pay and prescription drugs and whacked out insurance policies, putting fear into people.
Out of all of them...I prefer the Canadian/European system of socialized health care. -- Canada = Hollywood North |

I would rather there be a feature on the phone that tells the phone to connect to the lowest price carrier all the time, automatically without delaying the call would be nice.
Otherwise 911 emergency calls should go through on any carrier without delay, if it does delay scrap the phone. |
