ditching EV-DO once its here

Once XOHM comes to Kansas City, im leaving Sprints EV-DO for this as long as i can get speeds faster than what i get with EV-DO now.
I've seen speeds in none peak times pushing 2.6Mbps.

Its only 15$ cheaper for the home service and faster speeds. Very good deal.

now just imagine... if they could incorporate XOHM+EvDO Rev. A on a single card.

You roaming outside of XOHM coverage area and still be able to go online using EvDO.

You can get WiMAX/EVDO in a laptop now, so I would imagine this is a definite possibility.

My parents got their EVDO service at his house. They can't get anything else there. They are getting those speed too. Plus it is cheaper than his old dial up service (getting rid of POTS and dial up).

If Xohm expands out his way in a few years he will probably switch to that.

A combo WiMAX/EVDO card is indeed coming. They are hoping to release it by the end of the year.

You might already have WiMAX service with Citizens Coop. Check out the coverage map:

Has anyone heard any details for the Xohm buildout in the Kansas City market?
I live to the southeast of KC about 60 miles. We already have Sprint EVDO RevA here, but no idea when Xohm will get here.

Thanks,

Nathan
