i was just thinking about this i think i might know what has happened. I recently put a new phone on my phone line that has a digital answering machine. It could be causing the change in speed. |

I've personally seen certain phones/faxes require two filters.
Also make sure the filters are not plugged in reverse. the "pigtal" should always be plugged into the wall jack, then the phone cable into the filter.

1 edit | reply to HiVolt said by HiVolt the "pigtal" should always be plugged into the wall jack, then the modem cable into the filter. The MODEM cable doesn't get plugged into the filter. The MODEM should NOT be filtered, just the PHONE cables. HiVolt was thinking one thing, and typed another. |
