New Modem Help.

I Left my modem i got with my service at my brothers house in another state. I have a "Zoom 5615A Modem here but when i conect it, i get no internet conection. the dsl light just keeps blinking. Is it because its not the modem i got with the service. and is there a way that i can have both modems work, just not at the same time. I mean is there a way that i could use the "Zoom" modem, Then when i get my other 1 back just conect it and not have to change anything?

I am not sure about all the details, but you should read the approved modem list. DSLX does not seem to have good luck with zoom.

I don't see Zoom on the actual dslextreme.com list:

Please note the dslreports forum comments in the "Approved Modem List" thread above:
The only modem(s) I dont like are Zoom brand but as difficult as they are to configure I have found that they do indeed work with DSLE service.
And
The first generation of Zoom modems do not work in some areas. They'll thrash between protocols, get very hot, then crash. The later Zoom ADSL 2/2+ work very well.

Yes, they're terrible to configure. The configuration pages are full of bugs, incorrect help, broken links, and there's no sanity checking. Accidentally entering a conflicting option may disable the modem until the modem is reset to factory defaults.
The Zoom 5615 bridge modem is one of their 2/2+ ADSL modems, but both people above talk about configuration difficulties which implies it might not always work out of the box (even though zoom says it automagically detects VPI/VCI, etc.).
