Costa Mesa, CA | Missing all email prior to 9/13/2008
I have my client configured with IMAP/SMTP. As of today I don't have anything in my Inbox or Sent Items prior to 9/13/2008. Is there a retention limit for the Gmail servers? |

Hi kub326 -
Were you previously using IMAP? I checked the email on the new server and show that the oldest message in your Inbox was from 9/13/2008. I checked your Inbox on the old server and didn't see any messages. Is it possible that you were previously using POP and downloaded those messages locally?

| I've been using IMAP since 12/2007. I logged in to the old account and grabbed the emails and archived them locally so I had what I could.
Until this afternoon I had everything back to 12/2007 in the migrated account as well. Now everything prior to 9/13/2008 is gone.

It appears that my wife emptied the Migrated folder.
